WPSI builds bridges between employers and talent

For many talented Philadelphians, opportunity feels just out of reach. The West Philadelphia Skills Initiative (WPSI) has spent the last 11 years helping our neighbors connect to jobs at this city's most sought after employers and break cycles of intergenerational poverty as they work to build family wealth.

WPSI is different as an employer-driven workforce partner. The team works directly with hiring managers at Philadelphia's universities, hospitals, government and businesses to develop training for the roles they seek to hire - and employers hold open positions to interview every successful WPSI graduate. This leads to extraordinary outcomes for WPSI's participants. Here's a look at last year's program by the numbers:

WPSI graduates have recently been hired at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Southeastern Pennsylvania Transit Authority (SEPTA), Penn Medicine, Jefferson Health and Philly Shipyard, Inc, just to name a few. With your support WPSI can continue this important, life-changing work in service to its neighbors and community. Watch the video below to hear what the Skills Initiative means to graduates and employers. Thank you for making this work possible!
